Kalahari Resort,
Barnes
Nursery and Erie MetroParks employees teamed up with about 90 local
Brownies and Girl Scouts to celebrate Earth Day by planting six
native trees. Participants in this great event to promote recycling
and protecting the environment also started a trail through
Osborn Park’s new Children’s Forest.
This event was made possible,
which was made possible by
Kalahari Resort’s initiative and
leadership, Barnes Nursery’s tree donations,
and all of the Brownies and Girl Scouts members and leaders, and
their supportive families.
A special Thank
You from Erie MetroParks for everyone's hard work!

Kenya, Kalahari's mascot, made lots of new friends.
Both Brownies and Girl Scouts were proud of their hard
work.
There was no shortage when it came to helpful workers.
With everyone working together . . .
the new Children's Forest at Osborn Park was off to
a great start!
